Date Diet: Final Check In

As-salaam Alaikum ladies,

Today was a wonderful day for me and my family for we got to experience what it feels like for seven days to have very little to eat and to be truly grateful  for what we have.

Sunday was day seven guys and I’m so happy that this is the last day of this challenge. As-salaam Alaikum,

This is what I ate Day Six

Breakfast:
6:00 am – Four dates, string cheese and a cup of water

Snack:
08:15 am – Three dates and a cup of water
09:20 am – Two dates and a bottle of water
10:00 am – Two dates and a cup of water (I drank a lot of water this morning)

Lunch:
12:45 pm – Two dates and a cup of green tea

Snack:
2:15 pm – Three dates and a cup of water

Dinner:
6:00 pm –  Fives dates and water ( I was so tired didn't eat yogurt)

Update: Day Six

As-salaam Alaikum,

Okay people today is a new day with a new strategy to beat “the guy” and win the money :D

I woke up feeling hungrier than ever for the prize money so I went out this morning and walked my favorite rout. It felt great and I wasn't tired at all (knowing good and well that I had to work early). I ate my dates and drank water and made a few phone calls as I walked. I will insert a pic of the distance I walked, it was the same not much of a difference.

This is what I ate Day Six

Breakfast:
7:15 am – Four dates and a cup of water

Snack:
08:10 am – Four dates and a cup of water
09:20 am – Two dates and a bottle of water (went walking, needed food and water)
10:25 am – Four dates and a cup of water

Lunch:
12:30 pm – Four dates and a cup of green tea

Snack:
2:00 pm – Three dates and a cup of water

Dinner:
6:00 pm – Four dates, string cheese (milk substitute) and water

Update: Day Five

So today was pretty much like day four, nothing much to report. We are all looking at the other to see the endurance LOL.

I'm so proud of "the girl guys, although she keeps insisting that she will quit, she continues. She now knows how it feels to have very little to eat. Now she can feel what the Prophet (saws), his family and

Update: Day Four

Okay so I was a little busy and wasn’t able to update you on day four, sorry about that ;)
So this what happened. “The Girl” of course loves to nag about how she’s going to quit however never seems to want to when I tell her to go ahead (She all excited because she lost more weight than I did LOL). And “The Guy” has been doing very well, he hasn’t complained although he said he’s craving all kinds of food (Lama beans, lentil soup etc.)

Last night update
Nothing much to report tonight (hummm) oh yea ‘the girl’ wanted to quit until she thought about how she had lost more weight (Alhamdulillah) than ‘the guy and I lol and the guy stayed with his parents so I know he’s up to something like working out or major cheating :/

This is what I ate yesterday:

3:30 am – Four dates and a cup of water (feeling hungry around this time every morning)

Breakfast:
6:00 am – Four dates and a cup of water

Snack:
10:15 am – String cheese and a cup of water

Lunch:
12:30 pm – ½ cup of yogurt with two teaspoons of honey was my milk substitute and a cup of water

Snack:
3:30 pm – Four dates and a cup of water 
5:15 pm – Four dates and a cup of water

Okay ladies so today got off to a good start. I woke up ready to start my day asking myself “what’s for breakfast today oh yea dates and or yogurt” LOL.  Although I was tired on day one of eating dates I've grown accustom to it now.  I learned that I like yogurt without anything in it (pain). 3:30 am – Three dates and a cup of water (was a little hungry, I think it’s because I’m still breastfeeding. Felt better after eating the dates)

Breakfast:
6:30 am – Four dates and a cup of tea with mint (I’m feeling good Alhamdulillah, thought I would be going crazy about now hehehe).

Snack:

Salaam Alaikum ladies,

So I don’t know if you are aware that I don’t drink milk (don’t like it at all) so I will be using substitutes to make up the milk fat intake.

Breakfast:
7:45 am - Four dates and a cup of water.

Lunch:
11:45 am - Today I used ½ cup of plane whole milk yogurt as my milk substitute with 12 black berries and 2 teaspoons of honey.  I shared this with my son so in reality it was more like half of everything. I had a cup of water and my vitamins. I’m aware that the blackb...

Today is that day Ladies!  Okay so I woke-up excited and ready to start this “Date challenge” only to find that I’m the ONLY ONE ready. The ones responsible for the challenge wasn’t ready at all. I'm not going to beat-around-the-bush with unnecessary writing about my eating habits or weight loss. I'm going to tell you what I eat, drink and what exercise I do.   
Insha'Allah, I will blog daily letting you know what I did until I build a solid routine. Then, I will post two or three times a week to update all who cares to know. I also intend to do weigh-ins twice a month so you can see my progress in my weight-loss journey.
